Math Chain Privacy Policy

Android application com.zengothic.mathchain · Effective 30 September 2026

In one paragraph: Math Chain has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of ours. The only thing we receive is a crash report when something goes wrong in the game — it contains no personal details, and we use it solely to fix bugs. Your progress is saved only on your own device. The game is free and shows advertisements, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK inside the app collects and shares device information — including your Android advertising ID — in order to select, show and measure those ads.

1. Who this policy is from

Math Chain is published by Zengothic, an independent developer. This policy applies to the Math Chain Android application (package com.zengothic.mathchain) and to nothing else. There is no Math Chain website, web version or online service.

2. Information we collect

Only crash reports. Math Chain has no registration, no login, no profile, no chat, no leaderboard, no cloud save and no analytics. We operate no servers of our own. The one kind of information that reaches us is a crash report, described below.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, or an error breaks part of the game, a crash report is sent to us through Google's Firebase Crashlytics so that we can find and fix the problem. A report contains:

A crash report does not contain your name, email address, account, advertising ID, location or anything you have typed, and we never attach any identifier of our own. We use crash reports only to fix bugs. Google processes them on our behalf as a service provider under the Firebase terms, keeps them for 90 days and then deletes them automatically. Google Analytics is switched off for the app.

Information stored on your device

The game keeps your progress in the application's own private storage so you can continue where you left off. It leaves your device only through Android's own two copying mechanisms, both of which you control in your device settings: cloud backup to your Google account, and device-to-device transfer when you set up a new phone. The game permits both so that changing handset does not cost you your progress, and it permits them for the saved game and nothing else. It consists of:

None of this identifies you. It contains no name, no email address and no account identifier, because the game never asks for any.

Information collected by Google for advertising

Math Chain includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To select and measure advertisements, Google collects and processes information from your device. Google acts as an independent data controller for this, and its own privacy policy governs what it does with it. Typically this includes:

InformationWhy it is processedLeaves the device
Android advertising ID (a resettable identifier)Ad selection, frequency capping, measurement, fraud preventionYes — to Google
IP addressApproximate (country/region-level) location, fraud preventionYes — to Google
Device and app information: model, operating-system version, language, app version, screen and network characteristicsSelecting and formatting an ad your device can displayYes — to Google
Ad interaction events: that an ad was requested, shown, viewed, closed, or clickedMeasurement, billing and fraud preventionYes — to Google
Diagnostic information about ad requests that failKeeping the ad system workingYes — to Google

Math Chain itself does not read, store or build a profile from any of this. The app never sees your advertising ID; the SDK uses it internally.

3. Information we do not collect

To be explicit, Math Chain does not collect, request or use any of the following:

The app asks for no permission to anything on your device or about you — nothing that would let it read your location, your files, your camera, your microphone, your contacts or your messages. The complete permission list in the installed app is short, and every entry is either infrastructure or required by the advertising SDK:

None of these produces a permission prompt, because none of them is the kind of permission Android asks you to approve.

4. How information is used

5. Advertising and Google AdMob

The game is free and is funded by advertising. Two formats are used:

There is no banner ad and no App Open ad format in the app, and no advertising network other than Google is integrated.

Google's handling of the information described above is covered by:

Personalised and non-personalised advertising

Whether the ads you see are personalised depends on your own device settings and, in some regions, on the consent choice described below. If personalised advertising is switched off, or if consent is declined where consent is required, you will still see advertisements — they will simply be non-personalised, which means they are selected without using your advertising ID to build interest categories. Google does not serve personalised advertising to users it knows to be under 18.

6. Consent and your privacy choices

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

Math Chain uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for consent where the law requires it. When a consent message applies to your region, it is presented when the app starts, and your choice is passed to Google and applied to the advertising described above.

You can change that choice at any time without reinstalling. Open the game's Settings and tap PRIVACY OPTIONS → MANAGE to re-open the consent message. The row appears only when Google's consent framework reports that a privacy-options form applies to you, so if your region has no applicable message you will not see it.

On any device, at any time

7. Third-party services in the app

Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob)GoogleRequests, displays and measures the interstitial and rewarded ads
Android advertising IDGoogleThe resettable identifier the ads SDK uses
User Messaging Platform (UMP)GooglePresents the consent message where one is required and records the choice
Google Mobile Ads measurement componentsGoogleShips inside the ads SDK and is used for ad conversion measurement. We operate no analytics product.
Firebase CrashlyticsGoogleSends a crash report when the app crashes or hits an error, so we can fix it. No advertising ID and no personal details; see section 2.
Capacitor and Apache CordovaOpen sourceThe application shell the game runs in. Collects nothing and sends nothing.

No other third-party SDK is present. There is no other advertising network, no mediation partner, no attribution or install-tracking service, no social-network SDK and no customer-support or messaging SDK.

8. Children's privacy

Math Chain is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and it is not enrolled in Google Play's Families programme. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the app collects no personal information from anyone; crash reports contain none. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at the address in section 1.

9. Data retention and deletion

The only data we hold is crash reports, which Firebase Crashlytics deletes automatically 90 days after they are received. Because a report carries no name, email or account, we cannot pick out the reports of a particular person to export or delete them earlier. The saved game on your device is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. If Android backup is switched on, a copy of that saved game also sits in your Google account, and it is not deleted by uninstalling — section 6 explains how to delete it and how to stop further copies being made. For information Google holds in connection with advertising, use the Android advertising-ID controls in section 6 together with Google My Ad Center and Google's own privacy tools.

10. Data security

Game data is stored inside the application's private sandbox on your device and is protected by Android's application isolation. The only information sent to us is crash reports, which are stored by Google's Firebase under Google's security controls and contain no personal details. Crash reports and the information sent to Google by the ads SDK are transmitted over encrypted connections.

11. International transfers

Crash reports, and information collected by Google through the advertising SDK, may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's own safeguards and privacy policy.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, or to object to it. Math Chain sends us nothing but crash reports, which contain no name, email or account and so cannot be matched to you; they are deleted automatically after 90 days. The practical controls available to you are those in section 6, and any request concerning information held by Google should be directed to Google. If you are unsure, write to us at the address in section 1 and we will help as far as we are able.

This policy describes what the app does. It is not a claim of compliance with the law of every jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will change with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
